Images

General Information

• There is only one global images project called 0 Egger.com Media, where all images need to be uploaded
• Images must have at least 3072px in height and width – otherwise they cannot be uploaded (when you download them from celum, please make sure to download them as a jpg, color code rgb and 300dpi)
• Images must be uploaded to Celum before they can be uploaded to FirstSpirit, as they require a Celum ID and Celum name to be successfully saved
• There is a new naming convention everyone needs to stick to – more info on that below
• You can see and use all uploaded images, but you can only upload images to your market-specific folder
• If you want to delete an image from the system completely, you will have to create a Jira-Ticket for us, as only we (COM) have the rights to do that. Since we will be checking if the image is used elsewhere since deleting an image that is used multiple times causes an Internal Server Error.

Editorial Fields

• Referencename = systemname
• Alt-tag must be inserted in English when the image is uploaded! Afterwards you can insert the image alt-tag in the different languages directly within the component
• Celum Name
• Celum ID
• Tags = internal keywords that can be used in addition to the reference name to make it easier to search for the image in the system (only add keywords that describe the image)
• Credentials = if the photo credits are owned by an external photographer their name should be inserted here or if the image was created or customized with the help of an AI (= artificial_intelligence)

• The system name MUST be in English
• Only lowercase letters
• Use abbrevations for the sections & countries
• If you do not have the information for a part of the name, just skip it and continue with the next part
• Separate words with an underscore

Uploading a new image

Please upload a new image in the following steps (explained in detail below):

1 Open the 0 Egger.com Media project in First Spirit. Step 1

2 Click on the “+” on the top and choose “Upload new medium”. Step 2

3 Upload the image. Step 3

4 Set the metadata. Step 4

5 Set the focus point. Step 5

6 Release the image. Step 6

Open the 0 Egger.com Media project in First Spirit

Step 2

Click on the “+” on the top that is marked green on the screenshot and choose “Upload new medium”

Step 3

Upload the image according to the following steps.

1 File: Here you can upload the picture via “drag and drop”. If it is an image with some kind of text on it, you can also choose “Language-dependent: …” Please make sure to name the file according to the naming convention before uploading it and check it again, once the image is inserted. The “EN” field needs to be filled as well.

2 Names: Is automatically filled in according to the name of the image. Nothing to do here.

3 Medium: Please always tick the “edit afterwards” box, otherwise you can't insert all necessary metadata after uploading the picture.

4 Destination: Here you can select the folder, which the image will be uploaded to and underneath that you can see the different folders where the images can be saved. You can only upload pictures to your market-specific folder. In this folder you can also create sub-folders if necessary. For all other folders you only have the right to see everything, but you cannot upload new or edit or delete existing pictures.

5 Finish: Click here to to finish the upload. Important: The upload has not yet been finalised. Please also follow the steps below.

Step 4

Metadata: please always include the information about the image here. In order to be able to edit the metadata, click on the blue box “define media metadata”.

Description: include a short description of the image in EN.

Celum Name & Celum ID: are necessary fields – therefore you need to send your pictures to the graphics department beforehand (don´t forget to plan some time for that).

Credentials: if you have information on the photographer, who took the picture, please insert their name here or if the image was created or customized with the help of an AI please include "artificial_intelligence"

Tags: Here you can add tags, that describe the image. These will only be used for the search within the system, so the image can be found easily.

Alt-Text: The image alt text needs to fit the image, as this is the fallback alt text. Therefore it also needs to be in EN, even if it is only for a local topic. The image alt text in your local languages, that fits the campaign etc. can be added directly at the component, in which the picture is used. This is also a necessary field. You can find an example for the metadata below.

Step 5

Set the focus point

Click on the Icon Edit image section on the image.

Define the focus of the image by dragging the mouse over the image. Smart Cropping ensures that the cropping for all aspect ratios is aligned according to the focus point. If an aspect ratio needs to be adjusted manually, click on the corresponding image variant (e.g. 3072x3072px_1_1) and move the cropping manually. Then click on Save.

Step6

Release the image.

1: Click on the pen (the uploaded image needs to be selected).

2: Release the upload.

3: Release the changes (e.g. focus point).

Please always release the image upload and changes otherwise your image won't be displayed correctly.

Delete Images

If images are to be deleted, this must be done as follows:

You are only responsible for your own local folders. If images are deleted from other folders, please contact the relevant market or the COM team.

1: Prepare the deletion by deleting all references (the image must no longer be embedded anywhere). To see the references click on the corresponding image > (1) > (2):

2: Send us a COMSupport ticket (Component: FirstSpirit) with the following information: Celum ID, First Spirit Name of the image & folder in which the image is stored

3: COM will delete the image and inform you as soon as it's done via the ticket
