Content Creator
Login
- Open your browser and go to this website: https://firstspirit.egger.com/
- Login with your Citrix User (CAPITAL LETTERS) and your password
After you have successfully logged in, you will see this screen:
[1] When you click on the pen-icon, you open the Content Creator, which we use to edit pages or create new ones.
[2] On the right upper corner of the screen you can change the language to English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch or Russian. Directly next to it you can see your name and the settings. Here you can change the connection settings, the password and the user, you can also find information about FirstSpirit and the logout-button.
[3] Quickstart: In the grey box underneath you can find the Quickstart. Unfortunately, the Quickstart can only be operated via the FirstSpirit ServerManager. This ServerManager is an additional Java application which is started and updated via the FirstSpirit Launcher. Only the Techteam in Brilon has access to this particular application.
[4] Recent entries: Here you can see the projects you have visited recently. Be careful: Newly published functions and options may not be available if you access the project via Recent Entries. We therefore advise against this and recommend always using the "pen-icon" mentioned above.
[5] The book icon in the middle of the page takes you to the FirstSpirit Developer Documentation.
Click on the pen-icon and choose your project to start working. After you have opened the project, Content Creator shows you the page you have set as your homepage.

For the Corporate Projects all rights are held by the Corporate Online Marketing Team, as they take care of all the maintenance in all languages. Local Online Marketing manager have no editing rights – so you can have a look at the project and check it as a reader, but changes and adaptations need to be sent to the Corporate Online Marketing team – we are taking care about the editing for all languages and markets. So if changes are requested, write us a COMSupport ticket and we will take care of it.
The only exception is the Dummy Project. Within the Dummy Project you have the same ChiefEditor rights as you have in your local project.
Case Studies Project
The case study project is also a corporate project. In this project you have limited rights as an editor: you can edit existing case studies, but you cannot delete anything, change the existing layout, or add new case studies.
All the most important information regarding the maintenance and editing of the case studies can be found here: Powerpoint
Furthermore, there is a recording explaining how to edit the existing case studies: Recording
The password is: Et5NE2GE
An overview of our case studies is located in a folder in Sharepoint. There you will also find a document that should make your work in the CS project easier. The documents can be found here
The folder consists of:
The first file contains all page titles that have been collected for migration.
The second file consists of:
- Case Studies Sheet: the Overview (whitelist of the Case Studies published before 2023) of all languages which are online and their status (released, not online, won’t do etc.)
- New Case Studies Sheet: Overview of all the newly created Case Studies after the migration.
- Translation Textbox:
Please use these specific translations for the Textbox to keep the same style and in case you want to change the translation, please consider you will have to adapt it in all case studies for your language version.
Media Project
We have one main media project called "0 Egger.com Media", as can be found in the Media Manager, here we will manage all medias. Within this project you have additional rights in your local folders, where you can upload and edit images. Here you MUST follow the new rules. However, you cannot delete anything. If you still want to delete something, please send a COMAupport ticket to the Corporate Online Marketing Team.
Release
If you have created a new page and haven't yet released it, or you have made changes to an existing page, you will see the brown pencil.
If you want to release the new or edited page, you just need to hover over the pencil and the following box will open up:
If you click now on the release button the following window will open:
Click Direct Release to put this page live.
In the place where there is a brown pencil on a page that is currently being edited, there can also be two other symbols:
A green tick: This means that the page has been successfully released and is live.
Once you have released a page that has already been released before, your changes are immediately online. If you have released a new page that has never been released before, it will take about 10 minutes until the page is available. Content and pages that you have released by mistake or that you have prepared but do not want to go online yet can be restricted with the preview restriction, then they will only appear in the preview of the page, but not live.
A red eye: This means that something went wrong while trying to release the page - there is a release conflict. If this happens you can hover your mouse over the red eye to open a dropdown.
When you click on the button release decision you will see a button called check. If you click on this button called check, you will get more information about the necessary changes you need to make to successfully release the page:
After you have clicked on the check button once, it will disappear. For it to reappear, you must click the "Release Decision" button to open the following page:
Now you have to click on the abort delete button. After doing that your page will be reset to the edit mode.
However, you can also click on the release decision button and choose the option re-release. That gives you the opportunity to re-release the page after you have solved all the problems.
Important
Never click on force release.
